The stewards of the realm
Join the staff
The realm runs on trust: that a dispute is settled fairly, that a report is read, that nobody's friends are above the rules. The staff keep that trust. If you are fair-minded, patient and around when the realm is busy, we would like to hear from you.
What the staff do
- Answer tickets and reports: players reported, punishments appealed, questions asked
- Keep the peace in the realm: settle disputes out of character, stop rule-breaking and record what was done
- Read the applications of new characters and approve the ones that fit the realm
- Watch over the forum: reports, quarrels, posts that break the rules
- Help new players find their feet, and help with events when the realm holds them
What we expect
- You know the rules well and keep them yourself, in character and out of it
- You are calm, patient and polite, even with players who are none of those things
- You can give a few hours every week, at times when the realm is busy
- You are on Discord, where the staff talk among themselves
- You can keep what you learn as staff to yourself
- You accept that the admins' decisions stand, and disagree with them in private
You must be 16 or older, and your character approved. Read the staff handbook before you apply: it is the code you will be held to.
The ladder
Trial moderator
Every new member of the staff begins here, through an application. A moderator's powers, a moderator's duties, and an admin watching over them for the length of the trial.
Moderator
Confirmed by the admins when the trial ends. Answers tickets and reports, keeps the peace in the realm and on the forum, reads the applications of new players and new staff.
Admin
Runs the realm with the owner: the rules, the staff and the decisions that cannot be undone. Admins are chosen by the owner and the admins from among the moderators, never by application.
A trial lasts 30 days. After a declined application you may apply again after 30 days.
The application
Log in with your character to apply. Only approved characters may apply.
