Patrons of the realm
Support the realm
Blood & Banners is kept by a few people and paid for out of their own purses. If the realm gives you good evenings, you can help keep its gates open - and be thanked for it, in the realm and on these pages.
The realm's keep
The keep of the realm this month
0 EUR of 300 EUR · October 2026
What the server, its upkeep and its tools cost a month. Patronage, charters and gifts all count toward it.
What patronage never buys
Patronage is thanks, honour and convenience - never power. No patron receives coin, goods, weapons, armour, experience, skills, horses, property or faster progress, in the realm or anywhere else. Every character rises by what they do in the realm, patron or not.
Patrons keep the same rules as everyone else and are judged by the same staff. A patron who breaks the rules is treated like anyone who does; their patronage changes nothing.
The three tiers
Tier I
Patron
3 EUR a month
- A Patron's badge beside your name, on your page and on every post of yours on the forum
- Your name written in gold on the forum
- Your name on the Patrons' roll
- A place held for you at the gates when the realm is full
Tier II
Benefactor
7 EUR a month
- Everything a Patron has
- Your forum name in a colour of your choosing, from six
- A title of your own beneath your name on the forum (up to 40 letters; the staff may strike one that offends)
- A second character, made and approved like any application
Tier III
Lord's Patron
15 EUR a month
- Everything a Benefactor has
- Your name carved on the Patrons' monument in the realm (the character's name, or one you choose)
- A seat in the Patrons' Council, a forum board for the Lord's Patrons and the staff
- Early access: testers for what is being built are invited from the Council
Early access
Before a new system reaches the realm, it is tried by a handful of testers. They are invited from the Patrons' Council - so a Lord's Patron is first in line to see what is coming, and to say what is wrong with it.
A faction's charter
For a faction
The charter of a house
10 EUR a month
- A charter on the faction's page: its history written at length (with images), its motto, its colours and its arms shown large
- A private hall on the forum, for its sworn members and the staff alone
- A Discord channel of its own, on the leader's request
- The Chartered seal beside its name on the roll of factions
Anyone may pay for a house's charter - its leader, a member, a friend. It runs a month at a time; when it lapses, the hall is closed (never deleted) until it is paid again.
How to pay for one
On Ko-fi, choose Faction Charter, or give at least 10 EUR and write charter TAG in the message, with the house's tag as the roll of factions shows it - for example charter BLK.
The leader writes the charter at the faction's page once it is granted.
How it reaches you
Pay on Ko-fi
Choose a tier on our Ko-fi page (a membership renews itself each month; you may stop it whenever you like).
Let us know who you are
Pay with the email of your account here, or write your character's name in the message (for example
for Jan Kovar). A second character's patronage belongs to the main one.It is yours within a minute
Ko-fi tells the realm the moment you pay. Each payment adds 31 days; a higher tier takes over at once, a lower one waits until the higher has run out. If we cannot tell who you are, the staff match it by hand - open a ticket if it takes long.
Support the realm on Ko-fiThe Patrons' roll
Payments are handled by Ko-fi; the realm never sees your card. Plain gifts are welcome too: they count toward the month's keep and, if you let Ko-fi show your name, are thanked on the Patrons' roll.
